Every Tuesday through Sept. 13, in Val di Fiemme, take part in the Eastern Wellness Walk through the beautiful forests of Trentino
Trees are generous. They give off beneficial substances, such as antioxidant monoterpenes. Every Tuesday, the Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme, in collaboration with ApT Val di Fiemme Piné Cembra, invites you to discover this Eastern path of wellness that is conquering the West.
Forest Bathing is dedicated to those who wish to "immerse" themselves in the forest, with a new perception, to derive maximum benefit. Starting June 21, it is practiced in Val di Fiemme, every Tuesday afternoon, until September 13. This wellness novelty of the Fiemme summer in Japan is prescribed as a panacea to improve mood, blood pressure and cognitive abilities.
"Forest bathing" is especially effective among mature spruce trees and in places of absolute silence. The Magnificent Community has identified four trails around Solaiolo (Carano) that meet the many requirements for practicing Forest Bathing: the Water Trail, the Patrician Trail, the Ephemeral Pond Trail and the Dynamic Forest Trail. The four trails are interconnected and are marked with a red spiral symbol.
The experience can be booked on ApT Val di Fiemme Piné Cembra's visitfiemme.it website (30 euros per person, 20 euros with the Fiemme Piné Cembra Guest Card). You spend three hours in the company of a specialized guide, receiving simple and gentle stimulation. Letting your senses and breath guide you, you reconnect with yourself and nature.
As proven by numerous scientific studies, in forests the immune system is stimulated: the presence in the air of beneficial substances produced by plants, the atmosphere of peace and serenity, and the close contact with different elements of nature allow one to relax, improve blood pressure, heal stress, states of anxiety and depression, and increase concentration, creativity and empathy.
Forest Bathing is a new necessity attracting more and more practitioners. Only those 16 years of age and older participate in this wellness walk. The maximum number of a group is 12 people.
The Magnificent Community of Fiemme, already the custodian of an almost thousand-year-old tradition in the sustainable management of natural resources, initiated this walk because it is aware of the great therapeutic potential that Fiemme's forests possess. The Fiemme Valley, in fact, is an ideal destination for Forest Bathing thanks to its spruce forests.
In the coming years, more wellness trails will be identified, among ancient trees and plant biodiversity, capable of relaxing the mind and cleansing the body of toxins.
