The second typical product is the Fish of Lake Trasimeno. These are blue fish such as tench, carp, pike and royal perch, caught in their native waters. They are all caught using traditional methods that respect the ecosystem and prepared with fresh and genuine ingredients, giving flavors and aromas of yesteryear.

Fagiolina del Trasimeno is another typical product of the area. It is a particular type of bean grown exclusively in the fields around the lake. Its main characteristic is the small size of the seed, which can be of different colors. It has a delicate flavor and is used by gourmets and great chefs in the preparation of traditional dishes and new recipes. To protect its production and ensure its quality, the "Fagiolina del Trasimeno Consortium" was established in 2002, and since 2000 this wonderful product has been a Slow Food presidium.

Another specialty of the area is Olio del Trasimeno, obtained from vast hilly olive groves cultivated around the lake. This is a quality extra virgin olive oil certified and guaranteed by the mark "DOP" and the geographical mention "Colli del Trasimeno". An oil with an excellent fragrance, ideal to enrich any dish.

Finally, we cannot forget the typical wines of Trasimeno. Native varieties are also cultivated, such as Grechetto, a white grape variety that gives wines of a straw-yellow color with greenish reflections, and the rediscovered Gamay del Trasimeno from the Grenache family, a black grape variety that gives wines of a more or less intense garnet color.
