Sicily is an ancient region that makes use of remote historical contaminations: from the Greeks to the Phoenicians, passing through Romans and Carthaginians, the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea has a millenary past to tell, which emerges in every corner of the region, whose nature is mostly wild and dry. There are many Sicilian villages, some sinuously perched in the hinterland, such as Aidone, Sambuca di Sicilia, Montalbano Elicona or Sutera, others along the coast, such as Levanzo, Milazzo, Marzameni or Santa Flavia. The sea is a charm and the rocky coves are real postcards.
