Situated in the hamlet of Catabbio, in the municipality of Semproniano, the Church of Sant’Anna is located in the heart of Santarello, which in recent decades è has become the true centerpiece of the village. The present church stands where once stood a 17th-century chapel, demolished in 1957. The building, both outside and inside, è inspired by the modern Romanesque style.
Opened for worship on July 26, 1975, St. Anne’s Church è the main place of prayer for the majority of the population residing in the lower hamlets of Catabbio. The building, with three naves and a small square apse, covers an area of 180 square meters.
One of the distinctive elements of the church è the bell tower, built in the 1970s. This structure houses the public clock and three bells, complete with electrics.
