The Church of Santa Croce is a sacred building located in Semproniano, dating back to the 12th century. It has an irregular rectangular shape. The stone used is local travertine, and the style of construction reflects different periods.

Inside, the church has a simple Romanesque appearance, with walls featuring alternating bands of white and black. Of particular interest are the two travertine holy water fonts. In the chancel, raised one step above the floor of the nave and enclosed by an iron balustrade, the altar of Our Lady of Sorrows stands against the right-hand wall. At the centre is the altar of the Holy Cross, which is adorned with the Last Supper panel and whose feast day is celebrated on 3 May.
