The Parish Church of San Giovanni Battista is located in the eastern end of the hamlet of Puy Beaulard – at 1500 meters above sea level – it preserves significant examples of traditional mountain architecture, in the center of a basin surrounded by thick woods and pastures.
It was originally a simple chapel dependent on the parish of Beaulard even if the current building was built in 1861 and on the small bell tower there is a sundial with the motto “Montes et colles benedicite Domino.” Inside the church there are some fine furnishings: retable, petit retable and decorative tables works of workshops of the high Maurienne.
