Gothic House

The Gothic House, located in the heart of Arquata Scrivia, represents a true jewel of medieval architectural heritage. Characterized by its framed-wall construction technique, the Gothic House was built around 1300, offering an outstanding example of the building skills of the time.

Also known as Casa del Tranquillo, the building has embraced a new life thanks to the Arquator Presepi Onlus association. Since 2010, the Gothic House has become the association’s headquarters, housing a permanent exhibit dedicated to reenacting the life of Jesus, with narrative scenes that transport visitors back in time.

Passionate members of the non-profit Arquator Presepi pour their efforts into keeping the house alive, ensuring its opening during the holidays and making it accessible by appointment. The Gothic House is not just a monument but a place where history comes alive, linking Arquata Scrivia’s past to contemporary cultural vitality.
