The Documentation Center in the Chestnut Museum near Montetortore Zocca is divided into three halls that collect data, information and objects related to the chestnut culture.
In the central hall you will find the “Fantacastagneto”, i.e. the diorama of the habitat of Castagneto. In the “Hall of the Castagna” it is possible to observe objects which allowed us to transform the chestnuts in flour, while that of the “castagneto” houses objects that worked the Castagneto and chestnut wood.
The Borlengo, Ciacio and Tigella Laboratory-Museum is housed in two halls: an exhibition of objects with which you are preparing your borlenghi and ciaci (typical dishes of the Apennines). The other room is instead used as a laboratory for teaching the art of constructing said dishes.
