The Church of Santa Lucia in Masullas, in the heart of Sardinia, stands out for its unique location, having been built on a slope. This feature necessitated the use of buttresses, which ensure the structure’s stability and define its external appearance.
The building has a single nave with a wooden roof and retains traces of its medieval phase, visible in particular in the lancet window on the left-hand side. The bell gable, aligned with the round-arched portal, helps to give the church a simple yet harmonious profile.
Inside, there is an 18th-century statue of Saint Lucy, an object of particular devotional value that bears witness to the continuity of faith and traditions associated with this place over the centuries.
