How come under the palm trees? Because Merano, thanks to its mild climate, boasts a spectacular vegetation, a mixture of Alpine and Mediterranean seductions. An author’s setting for a real déjeuner sur l’herbe, all to be enjoyed after visiting the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle where you can get to know the typical South Tyrolean landscapes and landscapes, set up along the course of an artificial stream. In addition to an illustration of one of the traditional agricultural crops, the area also hosts an extensive cultivated orchard with ancient varieties of apples and pears.
