Description

708 km Cembrani Rosso – IGT Vigneti delle Dolomiti is a wine that embodies the true essence of the Cembra Valley, a unique region where mountain viticulture thrives amongst terraces supported by over 708 kilometres of dry stone walls, a symbol of the dedication and hard work of the generations who have shaped these hills.

Born from the collaboration between the producers of the Cembrani DOC, this prestigious blend combines the delicacy and freshness of Schiava (60%) with the structure and character of Lagrein (40%), creating a wine that perfectly captures the distinctive qualities of the valley and its historic grape varieties.

The grapes come from selected vineyards situated between 300 and 550 metres above sea level in the municipalities of Cembra and Giovo, characterised by porphyritic and calcareous soils and a continental climate that favours extraordinary aromatic richness.

Terroir and Vineyards

The grapes come from various selected vineyards belonging to producers associated with Cembrani DOC.

Vineyard altitude: 300–550 m above sea level
Exposure: South-east
Soil: Porphyritic and calcareous

The specific climatic conditions of the Cembra Valley, combined with significant temperature fluctuations prior to harvest, result in grapes characterised by great freshness, aromatic intensity and elegance.

Vinification

Vinification involves fermentation on the skins in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. After racking following soft pressing, the wine matures and ages exclusively in steel to preserve its aromatic purity and varietal character.

Tasting Notes

Visually, it presents an elegant ruby red colour enhanced by subtle violet hues.

The bouquet is intense and fragrant, dominated by notes of ripe wild berries accompanied by a delicate spiciness that lends complexity and elegance.

On the palate, it is dry, fresh and well-balanced, with a pleasant structure and a long aromatic finish that highlights the character of Trentino’s native grape varieties.

Colour: Ruby red with violet hues
Nose: Intense, fruity and slightly spicy
Palate: Dry, fresh, balanced and persistent
Finish: Elegant and harmonious

Pairings

Ideal with typical Trentino cured meats, savoury pasta dishes, red meats, roasts and medium-aged cheeses. Thanks to its freshness, it also pairs perfectly with mountain cuisine and traditional dishes from the Cembra Valley.

Why Choose It

708 km Cembrani Rosso embodies the essence of the heroic viticulture of the Cembra Valley. A wine that combines tradition and innovation, celebrating the heritage of historic local grape varieties and, sip by sip, telling the story of one of the most fascinating areas of Trentino.
