The oasis of citrus plantations of Rodi Garganico is known for the secular production of Gargano citrus fruits (Gargano oranges and lemons Femminiello, both DOP) witnessed since the XI century.

The oasis is characterized by citrus groves and more rarely olive groves, of centuries-old plant that are at risk of extinction. The crops shall pay, in fact, in a deep state of abandonment and constitute a possible risk not only environmental but also economic, considered the vocation mostly on tourism in these places.
