The White Night
On 20 August 2026, Patù, in the heart of Salento, will once again come alive with The White Night, one of the most eagerly awaited events of the Salento summer. For one night, the village will be transformed into a vast open-air stage where music, art, entertainment, culture and gastronomy will come together to offer visitors an immersive and emotionally rich experience.
From early evening until late into the night, the streets of the historic centre will come alive with concerts, artistic performances and events taking place throughout the village, involving every corner of the town. Alleys, squares and courtyards will become places for meeting and discovery, offering a journey that showcases the authentic charm of one of the most picturesque villages in Capo di Leuca.
Music will take centre stage at the event. Five stages and fifteen live performances will take the audience on a journey through different genres and sounds, from Salento’s ‘pizzica’ to reggae, via ska, singer-songwriter music and contemporary productions. Concerts, DJ sets and travelling performances will create a dynamic and engaging atmosphere throughout the event.
The programme will be enriched by numerous street performers who will bring dance, theatre, acrobatics and light shows to the streets of the village. The performances will surprise the audience, creating moments of wonder and transforming the historic centre into a creative space open to all ages.
The White Night will also provide a major showcase for local artisans and exhibitors. Market stalls and stands will offer visitors the chance to discover traditional crafts, artistic artefacts, original creations and products that reflect the culture and identity of Salento through the work of local artisans and creatives.
There will also be a strong focus on gastronomy. Along the route, visitors will be able to sample typical Salento specialities, street food, local produce, regional wines and craft beers. A journey through the authentic flavours of tradition that will accompany visitors throughout the evening.
The event will also feature exhibitions, displays and cultural openings dedicated to the history of the local area. Of particular interest will be the chance to visit the MAV – Vereto Archaeological Museum, which will offer an opportunity to explore the historical and archaeological origins of the area in greater depth.
Families and children will also find dedicated areas with workshops, fun activities and entertainment designed to engage the little ones in a festive and participatory atmosphere.
Patù’s The White Night thus reaffirms itself as an event that brings together music, art, culture, traditions and conviviality in one great celebration of the Salento summer. This free event attracts thousands of visitors every year, all eager to experience a special night amidst the authentic atmosphere of one of Salento’s most charming villages.
