The Parish Church of Santa Innocenza in Piana of Buonconvento is documented since 1081, presents itself as a fortified body, with the typical characters of the military architecture of Siena of the XIII-XIV century; one of the sides is constituted by the Church. This, made of terracotta, as most of the complex, but with rows of stone in the simple facade, it has a single nave with a trussed ceiling in view, but suffers already gothic tips in quadrilateral chapel that concludes, covered with a barrel vault and with single lancet windows to acute arc. Inside are visible traces of a fourteenth-century fresco with San Cristoforo and another fresco, it too fragmented, where it remains the figure of Blessed Franco from Grotti.
