Annunziata Gate

Annunziata Gate

The Annunziata Gate is one of the four gates of Trebisacce’s defensive system, of which only the arch remains today. It is located near the church of St. Nicholas of Myra, and was built to protect the city from raids by Saracen pirates. Today it represents one of the main symbols of the city of Trebisacce, attracting tourists and visitors from all over the world.
