The MACS is located on the ground floor of the Fortress Abbey and is articulated in two distinct sections: one dedicated to the charter and a to print.

The paper section tells the development of this fundamental support for the development of civilizations, concentrating mainly on the techniques of medieval and modern ones used for its production. Within this theme, you crop a focus of deepening the history of paper mill of Subiaco, which became known for more than four centuries the life of the entire village.

Additional prestige obtains Subiaco in the context of print: their monasteries sublacensi were in fact the seat of the first printer to mobile characters of Italy.
