The Mithraeum of Duino, in Friuli Venezia Giulia, is a natural cavity where it is practiced the cult of the god Mithras, diffused in the Roman world from the end of the century up to the triumph of Christianity.
The cave is located a few hundred meters from the mouths of the Timavo in Friuli Venezia Giulia to the north-north-west in the locality of Duino. At the center of the cave are two counters and an ara formed by a block of limestone roughly squared. On the wall at the bottom there is a tombstone commemorale representing the god Mithras while kills the bull. In the cave were found many deals: about 400 coins, lamps and a large number of jars.
