The Castle of the Captain of the Artilleries rises in the hinterland of the Adriatic Riviera.
It, which overlooks the Florentine gate towards Florence, is characterized by a corner and stellar shape and is crowned by the balcony, used by the patrol sentinel.Inside you can find: the Captain’s Quarter, with beautifully painted wooden ceilings, the crossing gallery that intersects that of the Porta, which allowed the garrison to move from one bastion to another, the Guard “by night” and that “stop”.
The Castle is surrounded by a hanging park where it is also possible to admire a garden of “ancient fruits”. Attached to the Castle is the Bastione Sant’Andrea.
It can be visited by appointment
