The Church of San Mauro in Baselga di Pinè is fascinating for its style, which combines Gothic and Renaissance elements. The façade is rather simple, but is embellished by an elegant three-bay porch, supported by four red stone columns with Corinthian capitals, which give the entrance considerable decorative value. Next to the church stands the Romanesque bell tower with a square plan, topped by a slender pyramidal spire.
The interior houses important works of sacred art. Among these are a fine Baroque wooden altar and a famous Gothic triptych in carved and gilded wood. There are also two 16th-century altar paintings by Paolo Naurizio, a 17th-century altarpiece by Carlo Pozzi and several 16th-century frescoes that further enrich the church’s interior.
