The Bosco del Sasseto is a Natural Monument, i.e. a protected area with a high naturalistic value, made unique by the presence of many old and monumental trees, grown on a geological substratum of lavas poured from the mouth of an ancient volcano.
This symbiosis between nature and geology makes the Sasseto a magical and enchanted place, a wood to be respected and preserved for future generations.
