Santa Flavia is a small and quiet town close to the sea. What makes it more and more interesting are some comfortable holiday homes in the center and the train station. This is in fact a stone’s throw from the center and provides a quick connection to Palermo.

the village of Santa Flavia is known as a seaside resort that overlooks one of the most beautiful gulfs of Sicily. Presents many harbors as the Olivella and Santa Nicolicchia. Its port is the second in Sicily as number of vessels. It is the birthplace of Gianni Mineo, partisan who saved the hostages of the Chiassa during the second world war.

In addition to the ruins of the ancient city of Solunto, it is possible to visit a small museum, the Antiquarium, located at the entrance of the excavations; in it are exposure materials of various types: ceramics, fragments of painted plaster work, stems, statuettes, votive reliefs, capitals and soluntine coins and other origin. Deserve a visit also the Church of Maria Santissima del lumen in the seaside resort of Porticello, and the Castle of Solanto, other seaside resort of Santa Flavia.

The main agricultural products cultivated in its territory are citrus fruit and vegetables. It is important for the production of fish for the conspicuous fishing for fresh fish of various kinds. Santa Flavia is very important for the tourism, species that seaside resort.
