Canago Brut – Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG
Its freshness and savoury flavour make it the perfect accompaniment to Mediterranean cuisine
Description
Canàgo Brut – Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG is an elegant sparkling wine that celebrates the history and identity of the San Pietro di Feletto area. The name “Canàgo” derives from the ancient name by which this area was known as early as 1291, as recorded in the historical documents of the Community of Conegliano. A tribute to the roots of a land extraordinarily suited to vine cultivation.
Produced exclusively from 100% Glera grapes, sourced from hillside vineyards situated between 190 and 220 metres above sea level, this Prosecco Superiore DOCG authentically expresses the characteristics of the territory, thanks to morainic soils rich in clay and limestone components and a particularly favourable microclimate.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested and vinified using soft pressing and controlled fermentation on the lees. The wine rests in stainless steel for at least 90 days before the second fermentation using the traditional Martinotti method, which produces a fine, elegant and persistent effervescence.
Tasting Notes
Visually, it presents a brilliant straw-yellow colour and a fine, persistent perlage that highlights its quality.
On the nose, fresh citrus notes and delicate vegetal hints emerge, lending elegance and complexity to the bouquet.
On the palate, it is balanced, fresh and harmonious, with a pleasant structure and a long aromatic finish. The slightly vegetal finish lends the wine personality and distinctiveness.
