Nestled above the Merano basin, Scena enjoys a privileged position that offers one of the most fascinating landscape contrasts in South Tyrol in spring. Green meadows and blossoming orchards coexist with snow-capped peaks, creating a natural setting that looks like something out of a painting. The mild climate, already pleasant in April and May, makes the landscape lively and welcoming, perfect for enjoying at a leisurely pace, following the rhythm of nature as it awakens.
Walking around the village means crossing different environments in just a few steps: silent woods, sunny slopes, open clearings from which the gaze wanders towards Merano and the Val d’Adige. Spring amplifies this variety, adding scents, colours and sounds that make every walk a complete sensory experience.

Walks and views in the spirit of spring
Spring is the ideal time to explore Scena on foot, following the numerous trails that surround the village. The well-maintained and accessible trails allow you to discover the area gradually, letting yourself be guided by the views and history. Amongst blossoming apple orchards and ancient farmsteads, every walk becomes a way to get in touch with the rural and cultural soul of this corner of South Tyrol.
The irrigation channel trails are one of the most enjoyable ways to experience the spring landscape of Scena. Created centuries ago as irrigation channels for orchards and vineyards, today these flat paths take hikers through woods, apple orchards and panoramic clearings, offering open views of the Merano basin. Walking along the Scena irrigation channel or the Maia irrigation channel means following the slow flow of the water and discovering the area at a leisurely pace, immersed in the tranquillity and light of spring.
