Giffoni Film Festival 2026

The Giffoni Film Festival 2026 returns from 17 to 25 July in Giffoni Valle Piana, reaffirming its status as one of the world’s leading film festivals dedicated to children and young people.

Created with the aim of bringing young people closer to cinema and culture, the festival is an international benchmark, successfully combining education, creativity and entertainment. For around ten days, Giffoni is transformed into a vibrant cultural hub where films, discussions and activities engage thousands of participants from all over the world.

At the heart of the event are the young jurors, the festival’s true stars, who are tasked with viewing and evaluating the films in competition, creating a unique and participatory experience. Alongside the screenings, the programme features masterclasses, workshops, special events and meetings with actors, directors and personalities from the world of entertainment.

Over the years, the festival – also known as the Giffoni Experience and later Giffoni Opportunity – has hosted big names from the international film industry, becoming a place for dialogue between cultures and generations.

The Giffoni Film Festival is much more than a film festival: it is a laboratory of ideas, an educational experience and an opportunity to experience cinema as a tool for growth, sharing and discovery.
