Dear Old Gargnano – Cara Vecchia Gargnano

On Sunday 5 July 2026, Gargnano will celebrate the 20th edition of ‘Dear Old Gargnano-Cara Vecchia Gargnano’, an event that has been bringing the historic centre of this village on Lake Garda to life for twenty years with an evening dedicated to traditions, gastronomy, craftsmanship and conviviality. It is a much-anticipated event for residents and visitors alike, which every summer transforms the village’s streets into a journey rich in flavours, music and opportunities to socialise.

Overlooking the western shore of Lake Garda, Gargnano offers a particularly picturesque setting for this festival, which showcases the local area and its finest produce. Strolling through the squares and alleyways of the historic centre, visitors can immerse themselves in the village’s authentic atmosphere, with views of the lake, the aromas of local cuisine and entertainment for all ages.

The event will kick off at 6.00 pm in Piazza Vittorio Veneto with one of the day’s most distinctive events: the traditional FUFF Tombola. For years, this social gathering has been one of the festival’s most beloved traditions, attracting numerous participants keen to share an afternoon of fun and socialising.

From 7.00 pm, the food trail will begin, guiding visitors on a journey of discovery through the region’s specialities. Along the route, visitors will be able to sample typical products and local culinary delights, enjoying an experience that combines flavour with a celebration of the gastronomic traditions of the Garda area.

The evening will be further enriched by the craft fair, featuring exhibitors and artisans presenting handmade items, artistic creations and artefacts inspired by local traditions. It is an ideal opportunity to learn about the work of local artisans and discover original creations in a particularly charming setting.

Music will be a constant feature throughout the event, with concerts, live performances, DJ sets and local bands bringing the village streets to life and creating a festive and engaging atmosphere. The shows and entertainment will ensure an enjoyable evening for families, groups of friends and visitors of all ages.
