The palace was the residence of Placido Maria Tadini, born in Moncalvo in 1759 and a Carmelite friar, became bishop of Biella from 1829 to 1832 when he was promoted Archbishop of Genoa, where he died in 1847.
In its basement there is an infernot restored in 2020 and in the entrance of the palace, now private property and not open to visitors, the original basin of the Cardinal’s private chapel.
