in the territory of Melissa is a group of rock caves, some embedded in the village, other still well visible in the countryside. Here the caves develops along a track at the bottom of the valley at the foot of the hill on whose slopes are obtained the rupestrian unit, single-celled, a quadrangular and different extensions. In some cases the inputs are closed by stones linked by clay, while the ceilings are flat or hut. Some studies have found that the type of rocky habitats in the territory of Melissa was typically constituted of small settlements of a few units arranged along a single level.
