Located in the main square of the village, the most obvious structures of the building date back to the early sixteenth century but starting from some architectural details and a few Roman marbles reused in the facade and left lateral portal, even the previous and following centuries have left traces.
The parish stands at the foot of the hill of the ancient Castrum Tilii, the castle from which the valley of the Adda took its name from “Val Tellina” and of which today the tower and the church of Santo Stefano remain.
With a basilica plan, on the facade stand out the marble rose window with a delicate Madonna and finely worked columns and the portal, the work of the Rodari of 1506 while the interior is divided into three naves with cross vaults.
