The Little House on the Boulder “Häusl am Stoan” is a true curiosity that seems straight out of fairy tales. This picturesque building originally stood on a meadow in the locality of San Pancrazio, surrounded by other little houses.
In 1882, a sudden overflow of the Rio Valsura destroyed all the surrounding houses except one: the little house “Häusl am Stoan.” Its salvation was due to the solid rock on which it was built.
Even today, this unique little house towers proudly on the rock that protected it, becoming a symbol of resilience and a must-see attraction for those visiting Val d’Ultimo.
