dating back to the XI century, the sanctuary of Santa Maria in Val d’Abyss rises at the foot of Monte Nerone, in the place where, according to tradition would have been found the image of the Madonna, today preserved in its interior. The current system, referable to the XV and XVI century, hosts a blade due to Raffaellino from Colle and canvases of baroque school, besides frescoes of the school of Umbria and the Marches. The interior has a single nave in romanesque style with a trussed ceiling. In the apse in the ridges can be admired a crucifix of majolica, to the left of the main altar is placed a century fresco portraying the Virgin Mary with the Child.
