At the Museum Belfiore are exposed more than two hundred photographs in black and white that represent more than a century of history of the country and of the whole Sicily. Three generations of montalbanesi emigrated in distant lands, for striking moments that mark uses, costumes and moods in different eras, escape to oblivion thanks to the skill of the master Carmel Belfiore. Split of daily life, local arts and ancient crafts, feast days, fairs and events of mass. All relives in time through a meticulous and articulated research work which eventually leads to involve a whole family and especially the owner of the same museum (Eugenio Belfiore), who died tragically in a road accident at the age of 42.
Hosted at Parlavecchio House, in the historic center of Montalbano Elicona, exposure is divided by theme: landscapes, churches, monuments, streets, alleys and characters of the local tradition, as “U Piscirussu” and Turi “Fugaru U”.
