The typical colours of the tufa stone that light up the historic centre of Tuscania give this village an even more evocative atmosphere. The walls that surround it and the ancient watchtowers, which can still be admired today, tell only part of a story that has its roots in a very distant past. Tuscania, in fact, is part of a larger protected area, Tuscia, rich in archaeological remains and testimonies of Etruscan and Roman times.
