Nestled on the northern slope of the picturesque Val di Cembra, the municipality of Altavalle welcomes visitors with a relaxing atmosphere, characterized by alpine silence, unspoiled nature, and living traditions. Created in 2016 from the merger of the historic villages of Faver, Grauno, Grumes, and Valda, Altavalle preserves the authentic soul of a territory that has managed to combine past and future, culture and nature.

Its hamlets, nestled among woods and terraced vineyards, tell ancient stories of craftsmanship, mills, wooden balconies, and rustic architecture typical of the Trentino mountains. Strolling through the cobbled alleys, you can breathe in the charm of times gone by, enriched by the friendliness of the inhabitants and events that mark local life, such as the ancient Grauno Carnival, known throughout Trentino for its ancestral rituals linked to fire.

Altavalle is the ideal starting point for nature excursions: from the panoramic Botanical-Naturalistic Trail on Dossone di Cembra to the evocative Lago di Valda biotope, the variety of itineraries satisfies hikers, trekkers, and bikers alike. The area is perfect for those seeking a relaxing and sporty vacation, immersed in a landscape that changes color with each season.

There is no shortage of religious sites scattered throughout the area: the Church of the Conversion of St. Paul in Valda, Saints Philip and James in Faver, St. Lucy in Grumes, Our Lady of Caravaggio in Masi di Grumes, and St. Martin in Grauno are true treasures of art and popular devotion.

What makes this village even more special is its wine-growing tradition, which is expressed in the cultivation of the typical Müller Thurgau grape and the production of mountain wines, appreciated for their fresh and fragrant character.

Altavalle is a small world where time slows down, nature embraces, and every stone tells a story. It is the perfect place for those seeking authenticity, silence, and beauty in one of the most fascinating valleys in Trentino.
