What to see in Santa Fiora, Grosseto, Tuscany

Share

The Convent of the Holy Trinity was built at the end of the fifteenth century by the will of Guido Sforza, in the place where, according to legend, the Count defeated a dragon that infested the area by feeding on sheep and herds, killing men entrusted to the Franciscans. Inside, there are works of art of particular interest, including a large Robbian style crucifix attributed to Benedetto Buglioni, an altarpiece by Girolamo di Benvenuto.
