Sardinia in Our Hearts – Sardinian Festival
Event description
On Saturday 11 July 2026, the Piazzale Polivalente in Bussoleno, in the heart of the Val di Susa, will host ‘Sardegna nel Cuore – Festa Sarda (Sardinia in Our Hearts – Sardinian Festival) ’, an event that will bring the island’s traditions, music and flavours to Piedmont, offering visitors an authentic immersion in Sardinian culture.
Organised by the Pro Loco Bussoleno APS Tourist Association in collaboration with CA Bussoleno, the festival has been created to celebrate the strong bond between the Val di Susa community and Sardinia through a day of conviviality, gastronomy and folklore.
The event will kick off at 5.30 pm with the opening of the food area, where visitors can enjoy barbecued meats, platters, sandwiches and beer in a festive atmosphere.
From 6.00 pm, the programme will get into full swing with a packed schedule of performances dedicated to Sardinian traditions. Visitors will be able to hear the unmistakable sound of the launeddas, the sulitu and the trunfa, watch traditional Sardinian dances, be swept away by the melodies of the accordions and round off the evening with a live concert by the band Dolmen.
The most eagerly awaited event will be the Sardinian Dinner, scheduled for 8.00 pm, a culinary journey that will bring some of the island’s most iconic dishes to the table. The menu includes a shepherd’s starter, malloreddus, Sardinian-style suckling pig, seadas, a glass of Cannonau and water.
The dinner costs 30 euros and is available exclusively by booking by 4 July 2026 at participating outlets in Bussoleno.
Entry to the event is free and, in the event of bad weather, the entire event will take place inside the Polivalente, ensuring that the programme goes ahead as planned.
‘Sardinia in Our Hearts’ offers a special opportunity to experience the traditions, music and cuisine of Sardinia without leaving the Val di Susa, on an evening that brings two regions together through culture, hospitality and a passion for their roots.
