Massetane Days 2026

From 9 to 16 August 2026, the medieval village of Massa Martana celebrates the 58th edition of the Massetane Days, the festival that brings the heart of the Martani Mountains to life every summer with a packed programme of events dedicated to food, music, culture and entertainment. For a whole week, Piazza Umberto I, the G. Gubbiotti Park, the Consortium Theatre and the streets of the historic centre become the stage for a festival that draws in residents and visitors alike, offering an authentic atmosphere blending Umbrian traditions with activities for all ages.

The star of the event is the Taverna del Castello, set up in the G. Gubbiotti Park, where you can sample local culinary specialities and enjoy a convivial atmosphere surrounded by greenery. Rounding off the culinary offering are Gelato in Piazza, dedicated to the finest artisan ice cream, and tastings of the best Umbrian wines, allowing visitors to discover the region’s authentic flavours. Throughout the event, the historic centre comes alive with stalls, food and drink outlets, and opportunities to sample typical local produce.

The Massetane Days also offer a packed programme of cultural and entertainment events. There is no shortage of literary gatherings, live music, entertainment and evenings designed to engage audiences of all ages. Among the most eagerly awaited events of the 2026 edition is the show “Mamma ho perso Sanremo Estate” starring Antonio Mezzancella, scheduled for Wednesday 12 August – an event that promises great fun and a huge turnout thanks to the talent of the famous impressionist and singer.

One of the most engaging moments will be the Notte Bianca on Friday 14 August, when the historic centre will remain bustling until late at night with music, shows, folklore and activities dedicated to residents and tourists alike. The squares and alleyways of the old town will fill with people, creating a lively atmosphere that makes this event one of the most beloved of the Umbrian summer.

The Massetane Days are much more than just a patron saint’s festival: they offer an opportunity to rediscover the charm of one of Umbria’s most picturesque villages, strolling amongst ancient walls, medieval vistas and authentic flavours.
