Set amongst the ancient narrow streets of the village of Cirella, overlooking the sea of the Riviera dei Cedri, one of the most eagerly awaited food and wine events of the Calabrian summer returns in 2026: Calici Sotto le Stelle. Now in its seventeenth year, the event offers a unique experience that combines wine, culture, gastronomy and entertainment in one of the most picturesque locations in the province of Cosenza.

The event stands out on the national scene for its original format, which features two dates during the summer season. The dates for the 2026 edition are 23–25 July and 20–22 August: six evenings dedicated to discovering Calabria’s finest wines and celebrating the region’s cultural heritage.

Strolling through the narrow streets of Cirella’s historic centre, visitors can embark on a tasting tour featuring some of Calabria’s finest wineries. Participating wineries will present a selection of DOC, DOP, IGT and IGP wines, offering the chance to discover the native grape varieties and winemaking traditions that make Calabria one of the most fascinating regions on the Italian wine scene.

Each tasting will be accompanied by local specialities and traditional dishes, creating the perfect marriage of wine and traditional cuisine. Authentic flavours, locally sourced ingredients and traditional recipes will help to make the food and wine experience even more engaging.

However, Calici Sotto le Stelle is not merely an event dedicated to wine. The programme includes shows, exhibitions, cultural gatherings, conferences and entertainment that bring the village to life throughout the event. The aim is to promote not only the region’s finest produce, but also the artistic, historical and cultural heritage of the Riviera dei Cedri.

Conceived by the Cerillae Cultural Association, the event was created with the aim of promoting and revitalising the area through initiatives that foster an understanding of local traditions and quality produce. Over the years, the event has become one of the most important fixtures in the Calabrian summer calendar, attracting thousands of visitors from all over Italy.
