La Frusta d’Oro 2026 returns on 12 September to the heart of Brisighella, offering one of the most evocative and distinctive spectacles of Romagna’s traditions. A unique event where sound, rhythm and skill come together in a fascinating and engaging competition.
The stars of the day are the s-ciucaren, the masters of the whip crack, custodians of an ancient art linked to the world of sheep farming. Their precise and spectacular performances transform the village squares into a veritable open-air stage, where every crack of the whip becomes part of a rhythmic and energetic choreography.
The competition showcases challenges of skill, coordination and musicality, accompanied by folk melodies that enhance the traditional atmosphere.
