Farina e Acqua – Flour and Water 2026

On 22 July 2026, the picturesque Vicolo del Torrione in Forio d’Ischia will once again provide the setting for ‘Farina e Acqua’ (Flour and Water) , an event celebrating traditional cuisine, conviviality and the island’s gastronomic identity through the most authentic flavours of the local culture.

Organised by the Actus Tragicus Association under the patronage of Forio Town Council, the event invites residents and visitors alike to rediscover the pleasure of simplicity, transforming one of the village’s most characteristic spots into a large space dedicated to sharing, good food and the island’s traditions.

From 9.00 pm, local chefs and restaurateurs will bring traditional dishes to life, reinterpreting recipes that tell the story of Ischia’s culinary heritage. The stars of the evening will be Maurizio Patalano, Gaetano Vezzia, Ciro Mattera, Il Saturnino, Elio Romeo, Forno Romeo, Francesco D’Ambra, Just Zingara, Nico Pallino, La Locanda di Vito, Vito Elia and Bariskia, who will bring authentic flavours and traditional ingredients to the table.

The culinary journey will be accompanied by music, a festive atmosphere and the timeless charm of the narrow streets of the historic centre, in an evening designed to celebrate Forio’s cultural and culinary heritage.

‘Farina e Acqua’ is not just a food and wine event, but an invitation to rediscover the value of spending time together, of recipes handed down from generation to generation, and of the hospitality that has always characterised the island of Ischia.
