Trasimeno NightGlow 2026

From 24 to 26 July 2026, L. Eleuteri Airport in Castiglione del Lago will host the Trasimeno NightGlow, one of the most spectacular events of the Umbria Balloon Festival. Three days dedicated to the charm of hot-air balloons, featuring flights, shows, live music and local specialities, with Lake Trasimeno providing a picturesque backdrop.

Every year, the event attracts thousands of visitors thanks to the chance to experience the thrill of flight and witness one of the most captivating spectacles of the Umbrian summer. The hot-air balloons colour the sky above Castiglione del Lago, offering spectacular views that make this event an unmissable occasion for families, photographers and aviation enthusiasts.

The most eagerly awaited moment is the NightGlow, during which the hot-air balloons, illuminated as night falls, light up in time to the music, creating a thrilling spectacle of lights and colours. The large, luminous balloons are reflected on the waters of Lake Trasimeno, creating a unique and evocative scene.

Programme

Friday 24 July

• Opening of the event.
• Start of the tethered flights, which allow visitors to experience a hot-air balloon ride in complete safety.

Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 July

• The formation flights continue.
• A spectacular evening show at Trasimeno NightGlow, with illuminated hot-air balloons synchronised to the music.

Events area

Every evening, from 6.30 pm to 2.00 am, a large entertainment area will be open, featuring:

• Street food and bars.
• Stalls selling local specialities and Umbrian food and wine delicacies.
• Live concerts.
• DJ sets and music.
