2nd Veneto Truffle Fair – L’Oro della Nostra Terra
Event description
From 17 to 20 July 2026, Ferrara di Monte Baldo, in the province of Verona, will host the 2nd Veneto Truffle Fair – L’Oro della Nostra Terra, an event dedicated to one of the most prized products of the Monte Baldo region. Four days to discover the world of truffles through tastings, traditions, culture and activities that celebrate one of the Veneto region’s culinary treasures.
In the heart of Monte Baldo, renowned for the extraordinary biodiversity of its woodlands, the prized Venetian truffle grows – the product of a unique ecosystem characterised by calcareous-clay soils and woodlands of black hornbeam, downy oak and hazel. Among the varieties found here, the renowned Tuber melanosporum – the prized black truffle – stands out, alongside the black summer truffle, the black winter truffle and the spring ‘bianchetto’, all of which feature prominently in local cuisine.
During the event, visitors will be able to sample traditional dishes prepared with the Venetian truffle, meet local producers and watch fascinating demonstrations of truffle hunting with trained dogs, discovering the work of the truffle hunters and the deep bond of trust that ties them to their inseparable hunting companions. There will also be informative talks, sessions dedicated to truffle culture, music and entertainment for all ages.
Ferrara di Monte Baldo, recognised as the first ‘Truffle Town’ in the Veneto region, is now one of the region’s leading centres for promoting this extraordinary natural heritage. The fair thus provides the ideal opportunity to visit the village, explore the trails of Monte Baldo and discover a region where nature, sustainability and culinary traditions have coexisted for centuries.
The 2nd Veneto Truffle Fair – ‘L’Oro della Nostra Terra’ (The Gold of Our Land) is an unmissable event for lovers of food and wine, hiking and local specialities, offering an authentic experience amidst the scents of the woodland and the most authentic flavours of the Veronese mountains.
