PaCentro del Mondo

From 24 to 26 July 2026, Pacentro, one of Italy’s Most Beautiful Villages in the heart of the Maiella National Park, is hosting a new edition of PaCentro del Mondo, the food and wine festival that combines wine, the local area, culture and sustainability in an immersive experience amidst the beauty of Abruzzo.

The event takes place across the grounds of the former Convent of the Minori Osservanti, Piazza del Popolo and the village’s historic centre, offering a packed programme of tastings, meetings with producers, excursions, treks and outdoor activities, designed to showcase the culinary, wine and scenic excellence of the Peligna Valley.

The highlight of the event will be Friday 24 July, starting at 4.00 pm, with the large tasting counters where visitors can sample wines from numerous Italian wineries directly alongside the winemakers. Accompanying the tastings will be culinary offerings curated by Buonvento and Cantina di Biffi, in collaboration with chef Daniela Maiorano, who will showcase local produce through dishes brimming with flavour and creativity.

On Saturday 25 July, the festival continues with a guided hike in the Maiella National Park, complemented by the traditional shepherd’s breakfast – an authentic experience to discover Abruzzo’s nature and traditions. In the evening, at 7.30 pm, the Abbey of the Friars Minor will provide the setting for PDM Special, an exclusive international dinner created by Japanese chef Kaori Endo and accompanied by champagnes from the historic French house Champagne Fleury, in a refined fusion of cultures and flavours.

26 July will be dedicated to exploring the village with an evocative urban walk through narrow streets, squares and vistas dominated by the majestic Castello Caldora, whilst over the weekend visitors will also be able to experience the thrill of the spectacular Valle Peligna Zipline, soaring over the Abruzzo landscape in one of the region’s most adrenaline-fuelled attractions.

PaCentro del Mondo is much more than a wine festival: it is a journey through nature, culture, gastronomy and hospitality, capable of revealing Pacentro’s authentic identity through experiences that engage all the senses and showcase one of Abruzzo’s most fascinating villages.
