Cammino dell’Arte e del Gusto

📅 16 July 2026 – 17 July 2026

Event description

On 16 and 17 July 2026, the charming medieval village of Cantalice, in the province of Rieti, will host the 16th edition of the Cammino dell’Arte e del Gusto (Art and Taste Trail), one of the most eagerly awaited events of the Sabina summer, where art, music and gastronomy come together along the village’s ancient streets.

The event takes place in the heart of the historic centre, following a section of the famous Cammino di Francesco, winding through stone-paved alleyways, offering panoramic views, light installations and spaces dedicated to art exhibitions, treating visitors to a journey brimming with charm and atmosphere.

The highlight of the event is a walking dinner that takes participants on a journey of discovery through the culinary delights of the Sabina region, stopping at various venues dedicated to local producers. Along the route, visitors will be able to sample wines from the Santone Vini and Di Filippo wineries, the traditional ‘pecora ne u cotturu’, artisan cured meats, locally produced cheeses, the prized Sabina truffle, freshly baked pizza, local specialities, and round off this culinary journey with the famous ‘Napoleon’ from Pasticceria Napoleone in Rieti.

The village’s historic wine cellars will open their doors to visitors, helping to create an authentic experience that showcases the flavours, traditions and locally sourced produce of the area.

Accompanying the gastronomic tour will be a packed programme of live music, with artists performing at various venues throughout the historic centre – playing guitar, saxophone, handpan and other live acts – creating an immersive soundtrack that will make a stroll through the village’s narrow streets even more enchanting.

The ‘Cammino dell’Arte e del Gusto’ offers a special opportunity to visit Cantalice, discover one of the most picturesque villages in the Sabina region, and enjoy two evenings where culture, tradition, art and local flavours come together in a unique experience.
