Wine Nights
For the first time, Montepulciano is hosting Wine Nights, a new event dedicated to the finest food and wine of the Valdichiana Senese. Every Friday in July 2026 – on 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 July – some of the region’s most prestigious wineries will open their doors to treat visitors to evenings of wine tastings, music and breathtaking views at sunset.
The initiative has been launched to promote the famous Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and local wine production, offering an experience that combines the pleasure of wine tasting with the discovery of places rich in history, culture and tradition.
Each event will take place from 6.30 pm to 10.00 pm and will feature a different winery, allowing participants to learn about the characteristics of the wineries that have made Montepulciano one of the capitals of Italian wine.
The programme features five evenings at exceptional venues:
- 3 July – Palazzo Vecchio
- 10 July – Icario
- 17 July – Fattoria del Cerro
- 24 July – Vecchia Cantina di Montepulciano
- 31 July – Salcheto
Each evening, guests will be able to sample a selection of wines accompanied by culinary specialities prepared with the prized Chianina beef, one of the iconic products of the Tuscan culinary tradition. A perfect marriage of wine and authentic flavours that captures the identity of this extraordinary region.
The experience will be enhanced by live music and the relaxed atmosphere of the wineries at sunset, when the hills of the Valdichiana are bathed in the warm colours of summer, offering glimpses of rare beauty.
Admission costs 10 euros and includes a tasting glass, the event’s official glass holder and a wine tasting. Booking is recommended.
Le Notti del Vino-Wine Nights offers the perfect opportunity to experience Montepulciano in an authentic way, visiting some of its most iconic wineries and letting yourself be captivated by the aromas, flavours and views that have made this village one of the leading destinations for Italian wine tourism.
With glasses of Vino Nobile, tastings, music and sunsets over the Tuscan hills, Le Notti del Vino 2026 promises five unforgettable evenings dedicated to those who love fine wine and the region’s finest produce.
