Locus Festival in Locorotondo
Every summer since 2005, the Locus Festival has transformed Locorotondo, in the heart of the Itria Valley, into one of the most captivating music venues in southern Italy. From 7 to 14 August 2026, this Apulian village will once again welcome international artists, contemporary sounds and an audience from all over Italy and abroad.
Originally conceived as a festival dedicated to jazz and singer-songwriter music, the Locus Festival has grown over time to become a key event on the international music scene, embracing a variety of genres: soul, electronic, pop, world music, indie and experimental. Its strength lies precisely in its ability to combine artistic quality with a unique atmosphere, offering concerts in picturesque settings amongst white-washed squares, panoramic terraces and views overlooking the Apulian countryside.
For a week, Locorotondo, with its circular historic centre and typical ‘cummerse’ houses with sloping roofs, becomes a meeting place for culture, music and the local area. The festival also involves other Apulian towns with special events, creating a widespread musical itinerary that showcases the entire region.
In addition to the evening concerts, Locus offers talks, DJ sets, side events and opportunities for socialising that round out the experience, weaving together art, tourism and local identity. It is a festival that invites you to slow down, listen and experience music under the August sky, in one of Puglia’s most beautiful villages.
The Locus Festival is not just a music festival: it is an experience that blends landscape, contemporary culture and tradition, transforming Locorotondo into a crossroads of sounds and emotions.
