Norman Castle

Norman Castle

Built in the 12th century by the Ventimiglias, the Norman Castle at Castel di Lucio rises more than 350 m from the valley floor. A fortification originally protected by a wall and with two cylindrical towers on the most vulnerable side. The original name comes from the castle itself, namely Castelluzzo.

Today what remains are only a few ruins that dominate the settlement and include a circular tower located on the highest peak of the village.
