The ‘Chiara Marinelli’ Civic Stone Museum, located in Pescopennataro, was inaugurated as a testament to the local tradition of stone carving, where, starting around 1700, a veritable artistic school of stonemasons was established.
The museum is divided into two sections:
– Mario di Tullio is the section devoted to the work of the many stonemasons of Pescopennataro
– Stone in the Centuries is the section devoted to prehistory, and the history of stone art
