It rises in 1878 near the ancient guardhouse of the castle where the church of Santa Maria di Piazza stood until 1530. On its facade there are the busts of Guglielmo Caccia, Gabriele Capello and King Carlo Alberto. It hosts every year a season of theater in prose and a season of Piedmontese theater.
