Scenes from the Passion of Christ (1734-38) in the Chapel of the Holy Our Lady of Sorrows in Borgetto. On the apse vault of the small chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows one can see, in the central quadrature of the composition, a depiction of a sindonic sheet supported by four Puttini. On either side of the depiction can be discerned, on the left two angels with the instruments of the passion, on the right two other angels with a “Veronica” and with a basin and a pitcher of water. The entire chapel was restored between 1961 and 1966.
