The presence of a cult building in Sauris di Sopra is already attested in 1328. The current building was rebuilt in the sixteenth century in Gothic style. Inside the church there is a baroque marble altar with statues of Saints Joseph and Lorenzo and the altar of the Madonna del Rosario, a seventeenth-century work by Girolamo Comuzzo, whose statues have been stolen and the Flügelaltar, sculpted by Michele Parth in 1551.
